Fancy cars, diamond rings, Gucci this, Prada that and a trip to anywhere around the world on a private jet! That’s the life I imagined when I was younger. Some people may achieve this wonderful lifestyle, but lets be honest, most of us will not. Maybe you’re like me and had kids early; maybe you went to college and got sidetracked by life; others simply just didn’t have an idea of what they wanted to become. Are these even needed to know you ‘made it’?

It hasn’t been until recently, when I decided to change my job, that I realized I have achieved the American Dream. NO! I’m not famous or have the for-mentioned. I do however have my wife, three kids, two dogs (a cat I don’t like), the ability to not stress about money, a modest well affordable home in my name, growing assets, and no debt while being black! What? Not your idea of a dream? I agree, but its what people around the world die to come to America for and some stereotypes think is for the privileged!

I’m an entrepreneur at heart and have ADHD (bad combo). So I always want to work for myself but never satisfied because of all the opportunities available to Americans. Don’t get me wrong, life has its challenges that can be overwhelming. This blog is to explore all America has to offer and the pit falls that can and will happen. I want to help anyone who finds themselves in a place of despair. Whether it be ‘I’m in school and don’t know what I should be doing’, or ‘I can’t get out of the system, kids, snap’, or ‘ I just want my own business, it cost to much’ and anything thats holding you back from your American Dream. I invite you to be part of the Average Joe Chronicles!!!

You’re already apart of the chronicles of life anyway, you just might need something… Maybe you’re in the wrong position, maybe you need to be cleaned up a little bit, change some habits or add some skills to fit in the right position. If your open minded to the solutions theirs no limit to where you can be in America. Seriously! USA had Obama and Trump for presidential examples in your life time! Nothing can stop you from achieving the American dream except your mind!

In this blog my goal is to be totally transparent about my achievements, my struggles, my beliefs and the way I view America and the world as someone who grew up black in America. Why? Because I want to. I also believe we need to get to the root of why we want, believe and act in certain ways. This is important , because no matter what goal or dream we have, we don’t want to sabotage it with hidden motives… Yea, there’s a story behind that…Let the chronicles unfold!
